The Space
The Canopy House sleeps up to 8 guests across four bedrooms and three baths, a comfortable configuration for families, multi-generational trips, and group getaways. Vaulted ceilings open up the main level living, dining, and kitchen area, with seating for everyone and a fully equipped kitchen designed for cooking and gathering after a day on the trails, at a tasting, or on the slopes. A wood burning fireplace anchors the evenings (guests bring their own firewood), and the home is heated and air conditioned year round.
The entry and main level are zero stair, including a king ensuite bedroom with laundry and a screened porch with a fire table, which makes the home a great fit for parents and grandparents. The lower level adds a second king ensuite bedroom and a second living space stocked with board games, puzzles, movies, and children's toys, plus a 55" Smart TV with Prime Video, Hulu, Netflix, and Disney+. Upstairs, a queen bedroom and a bunk room with twin bunks complete the sleeping arrangements. Three outdoor deck spaces give everyone room to spread out, and a private driveway fits up to three vehicles and includes an EV charger. Families are welcome.
The home is not pet friendly, and guests must be 25 or older to book.
The Location
The Canopy House sits on the mountain at Wintergreen Resort, just across from the Raven's Roost trail, with seasonal views and trails you can walk to from the door. The slopes are about five minutes away, and resort restaurants, hiking trails, and summer pools are all close by. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, guests can use the Chestnut Springs pool on the mountain and the Stoney Creek pool in the valley. The Route 151 wineries and breweries are ready to explore from here, and a resort shuttle can be requested by calling the resort and will pick up at the house.
